032. How to Deal with Emotions About Your Business

One of the biggest and best lessons I learned last year (truth: still learning!) is about how important what I’m feeling (and the energy that’s created from my feelings) is in the growth and success - and enjoyment - of my business. 

Don’t get me wrong, this is not about positivity and only feeling positive about everything. What I learned is that rather than pretend I was OK, I needed to have awareness of what I was really feeling and then approach it with compassion and curiosity.

Often we think that if we acknowledge our feelings they will take over and totally sink us, so instead, we judge them as bad and avoid them. But the truth is that when we push them down, sweep them under the rug or try to pile judgment or positivity on top of them, that’s when they take over and sink us. 

When we allow our emotions to remain in motion by acknowledging them and giving them a listen, they move through us. On this week’s episode of the podcast, I talk you through - in real-time - my journey walking through one morning’s emotions and the process I use to move through them.
